Youth Apprenticeship

Qualifications:
Junior or Senior status (or a Sophomore planning for Junior year)
Positive school attendance and passing grades
On track for high school graduation
Interest in a specific career cluster and/or career pathway
Related courses to a specific career cluster and/or pathway
Youth Apprenticeship placements are not always guaranteed. Placements are based on many factors including employer availability and need. If at student is placed as a Youth Apprentice, the following requirements apply:
Arrange high school schedule and work schedule
Document 450 work hours per year
Schedule related instruction courses concurrently with YA work experience (1.0 credit per year)
Complete a competency checklist with your employer
Provide own transportation to and from worksite
Pass all high school courses and maintain positive attendance
