Activities & Athletics Department

Welcome to the Activities and Athletics Department. Our department is dedicated to providing students with a wide range of extracurricular opportunities that promote physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, and personal growth. We believe that participation in sports and activities is a vital part of the educational experience, fostering school spirit and building lifelong skills.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Athletic Programs: Offering a variety of sports teams and individual athletic opportunities for students of all skill levels, from intramural to varsity competition.

  • Extracurricular Activities: Coordinating clubs, organizations, and special interest groups that cater to diverse student interests, from arts and music to science and technology.

  • Event Management: Organizing and overseeing athletic events, competitions, and extracurricular activities, ensuring they run smoothly and safely.

  • Student Leadership: Promoting leadership development through student government, peer mentoring, and other leadership-focused programs.

  • Health and Wellness: Encouraging healthy lifestyles by providing resources and support for physical fitness, mental health, and overall well-being.

  • Community Engagement: Fostering a strong connection between the school and the community through outreach, partnerships, and volunteer opportunities.

Our goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can explore their interests, develop their talents, and build meaningful connections. The Activities and Athletics Department is committed to enriching the student experience and contributing to the holistic development of each individual in G-E-T.

Sports Medicine

Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District is proud to partner with Gundersen Health System to provide our WIAA student-athletes continuous sports medicine expertise throughout the school year. Gundersen Health System provides athletic training services for all injuries to help our student-athletes heal and to help them excel in their sport after returning from injury. These highly specialized experts deliver comprehensive, continuous care with a personal understanding of the needs of high school student-athletes. 

Services for G-E-T High School Student-Athletes 

  • Injury Prevention/Evaluation/Treatment 

  • Rehabilitation of Injuries 

  • Emergency Care 

  • Concussion Management 

  • Assist in referrals to outside care facilities when required 

Athletic Training Room Hours *

Fall: Monday- Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm 

Winter: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-5:30pm

Spring: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-4:30pm

*These hours are subject to change based on the availability of the athletic trainer, game coverage, and on non-school days hours will change to meet the needs of the sports. In the instance of multiple events being held at the same time, the athletic trainer and athletic director will determine which event to be covered based on risk of injury.
